Role Description

This is an internship role for a Marketing Coordinator (with Video Content Focus) to help amplify our brand and engage our community of founders, investors, and partners. This role combines marketing strategy with hands-on video production, perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves storytelling through visuals. The Marketing Coordinator will create and manage video content, assist in planning and coordinating events, and support sales initiatives. The role involves project management to ensure the effective communication of marketing messages. This is a hybrid role, located in Vancouver, BC, with some work from home flexibility.

Key Responsibilities :

Marketing Coordination (50%)

Manage content calendars and coordinate cross-team promotions.

Track engagement metrics and suggest data-driven optimizations.

Video Content Creation (50%)

Film, edit, and produce short-form videos.

Create engaging social media clips (TikTok / LinkedIn) to showcase UCS’s impact.

Collaborate with founders and mentors to capture compelling stories.

Maintain brand consistency in visuals, tone, and messaging.

Qualifications :

• Proficient in video editing and graphic design tools.
• Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube).
• Relevant education or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or Business (a plus, but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with startup ecosystems or B2B marketing is an asset.
• Proficiency in Mandarin / Cantonese is an asset.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Passion for startups, tech, and storytelling.
• Adaptable to quick-turnaround projects.
