As Marketing Coordinator at Summit Fine Wines, you will support both consumer-facing and trade marketing initiatives, helping bring exceptional wines to restaurants and retailers across Western Canada.

About the Company

Summit Fine Wines is a leading wine agency based in British Columbia. We represent a portfolio of well-known domestic and international brands through Jackson Family Wines and our winery trade partners. With a focus on quality, sustainability, and innovation, we deliver impactful wine programs and brand experiences to top accounts across the region.

Role Summary

This is a part-time, contract role (25 to 30 hours per week, remote). You will work closely with the National Marketing Manager to support content creation, marketing materials, retail programs, and event planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule social media content for Instagram and Facebook
  • Draft newsletters, seasonal campaigns, and tasting room materials
  • Update and maintain marketing assets such as LTO sheets, sell sheets, shelf talkers, and brand decks
  • Compile accolades, tasting notes, and marketing tools for the sales team
  • Assist with liquor board applications and trade submissions for BCL, MBLL, and SLGA
  • Create marketing kits and promotional materials for accounts
  • Support national marketing campaigns and event execution
  • Contribute to trade presentations, pitch decks, and point-of-sale development
  • Help with creative planning and coordination for wine events and activations

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, design, or social media (internships welcome)
  • Proficiency with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Familiarity with tools like Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, and WordPress
  • Strong writing skills for captions, newsletters, and marketing copy
  • A good eye for layout, photography, and brand consistency
  • Basic content creation or video editing skills using a smartphone
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience with project tracking tools such as Asana or Excel
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Interest in wine, food and beverage, or hospitality
  • WSET Level 1 or 2 is an asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian liquor board systems is an asset
  • This contract position offers an hourly rate of $25 to $28, depending on experience. Compensation is paid bi-weekly.
