Job summary

A governmental organization in Surrey is looking for a communications specialist to evaluate and prepare public communication materials. Responsibilities include overseeing written content, writing speeches, recruiting staff, and conducting surveys. A college diploma or equivalent experience is required, along with 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field. The role is strictly on-site, with no remote work options.

  • Prepare written material such as reports, briefs, and website content.

  • Recruit and hire staff.
  • Advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies.
  • Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions.
  • Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys.
  • Gather, research and prepare communications material.
  • Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs.
  • Conduct social or economic surveys to assess development and trends.
  • Evaluate customer service and store environments.
