A non-profit organization focused on promoting equity for Indigenous communities is seeking a Marketing Coordinator. This fully remote role involves developing and executing marketing strategies to engage participants in green construction training programs. The position emphasizes outreach and partnership development across Canada, particularly in Northern Ontario.
Keepers of the Circle is an Indigenous Hub operated by the Temiskaming Native Women’s Support Group (TNWSG), a non-profit organization founded in 1997 to promote the economic, cultural, and social equity of Indigenous women, girls, and gender diverse people.
Keepers of the Circle is looking to recruit an experienced Marketing Coordinator to support recruitment, promotion, and outreach for the “Building in Four Directions” project under the Sustainable Jobs Training Fund Program through Employment and Social Development Canada. This project is focused on designing and delivering hands-on green construction training to Indigenous and other equity-deserving communities through mobile trades trailers paired with live virtual training. The goal of the project is to build capacity for new entrants to take on roles in the green economy. The Marketing Coordinator will oversee the outreach, promotion and recruitment of participants for three (3) green construction skills training programs that will be delivered at a national level over the next three years.
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for creating and executing the marketing and promotional strategy for this project to recruit training participants and engage in partnership development with employers and communities. This includes creating marketing materials, holding info sessions and presentations in Indigenous communities, and mapping out opportunities to scale activities nationally.
This is a fully remote role, with some travel to Indigenous communities for outreach and recruitment activities. Preference is for the candidate to be located in Northern Ontario.
