Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Coordinator to join our team. The Marketing Coordinator will serve a critical role in supporting the execution of marketing initiatives, coordinating marketing and public relations campaigns, and assisting with project and event coordination. The role offers an exciting opportunity to support the success of our clients and the agency within a collaborative, fast-paced and supportive environment.

- Achieving an average minimum billable hour rate of 30% - 50%.
- Reduction of implementation workload of the Marketing Manager and other team members.
Key Accountabilities
Marketing Support
Primary responsibilities for the Marketing Coordinator position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies, plans, materials, and campaigns for clients.
- Simplify complex data into user-friendly formats such as graphs, charts, and other visual aids for clients' understanding.
- Manage and maintain marketing dashboards, including campaign performance metrics.
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- When needed, interpret and report on market research conducted on behalf of the client or the Agency.
- Work with Marketing Manager and Publicity Team on the development of client event strategies, and the implementation of event plans.
- Identify GMC event opportunities and develop and implement event participation strategies.
- Coordinate with external contracted team members, including graphic design, copy development, video production, and web development partners.
- Develop client presentations and training materials for Marketing Plan Workshops, Brand Workshops and Intensives, and partner workshops.
- Craft compelling and engaging written content for various marketing materials, including social media posts, email campaigns, blog articles, website copy, and promotional materials.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to contribute to the continuous improvement of marketing efforts.
- Serve as backup for shipping needs (eg. media samples, etc.)
Project Management
- Support client experience and identify areas for smoother coordination and project management within the GMC team.
- Ensure all necessary client assets are available and accessible to GMC.
- Ensure approvals are obtained according to agreed-upon timelines.
- Monitor all promised services and products.
- Liaise with other service-providers to ensure all client needs are met to ensure that contracts are closed out and final invoicing is complete, including all expenses related to the project.
- Attend key client meetings, track meeting notes, and identify action items for participating team members.
- Keep team members updated on tasks, timelines, milestones, and workback plans using Asana, project reviews, and activity reports to ensure client or Agency deliverables are achieved.
- Set up and maintain tracking systems for marketing campaigns and other client and Agency projects, such as KPI dashboards.
- When appropriate, liaise with vendors to maintain project progression.
- Understand GM Customer Journey and Experience and implement client touchpoints within the Nutshell CRM.
Data Management
- Ensure maintenance of GMC’s CRM, data entry, and growth of the GMC databases.
- Ensure all staff are informed of essential database updates and have the most current stats in hand.
- Work with the Marketing Manager and Publicity team to identify new list-building opportunities, analyze impact, and maintain CASL compliance.

Core Skills
- Knowledge of the non-profit and charitable sector.
- Experience with marketing and brand strategy and recent understanding of digital marketing.
- Proven ability to use Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
- Experience and some proficiency with design software (Adobe) or platforms (Canva).
- Experience with key digital communication and marketing tools and platforms.
- Project Management or Coordination.
- Written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a marketing or communications role.
- Experience with digital marketing, social media and video content.
- Previous experience in a marketing role is required.
- Prior work or volunteer experience with complex organizations and/or non-profit or charitable organizations.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
