Job Summary:
Supports the delivery of corporate communications and marketing through demonstrated excellence in the development and management of communication needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Advances strategic and operational objectives by managing corporate communications and marketing. Designs, delivers communication activities including written and online communications, marketing plans, and event planning.
- Works with stakeholders to identify communication needs, marketing advice, and planning; including identifying channels, tactics, and appropriate methods of communications and marketing.
- Provides consultation on communication needs including web guidelines, writing protocols, event management, and execution of communication plan details that result in successful communications.
- Assumes responsibility for consistency between corporate messaging, corporate standards, and information for all project deliverables.
- Develops communication and marketing plans to promote campaigns, including working with partners/stakeholders (which may include external agencies) which would include data analysis, market research, defining target audiences, strategy and messaging development, and tactical planning.
- Develops content and manages a variety of communications and social media and digital/online channels including content creation, posting, scheduling, managing comments/inquiries, gathering and reporting analytics, and market research.
- Responsible for creating and managing budget information for communication, marketing campaigns, and projects.
- Consults with others to ensure precise development and delivery of a wide range of communication and marketing deliverables (i.e., writing, web content, social media, digital and online ads, speaker/briefing notes, direct mailers, and media materials).
- Develops and adheres to communication and marketing/content management practices and policies.
Qualifications:
Four years post-secondary education with a focus in communications, marketing, or journalism with 5 years of experience in corporate communications demonstrating the ability to do the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge of corporate communications theory and practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge of communications production processes related to print, media, events, and internet.
- Communications, marketing, and event planning and management.
- Ability to research, develop content, and create effective messaging.
- Develop and execute on multiple projects simultaneously.
Salary Range:
$61,104.68 - $78,024.44 per year
