About the RoleRichardson Sport Inc. is seeking a strategic and creativeCommunications & Marketing Leadto oversee and drive communications, branding, and digital marketing efforts across our three companies. This individual will play a critical role in driving conversions, increasing brand awareness, and managing multi-brand social portfolios while working independently and collaboratively to support business growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and innovate marketing initiatives across a diverse portfolio of organizations, including Braefoot Community Association (nonprofit and childcare sector), BestCoast Outfitters (paddling industry), and Richardson Sport (youth sports and recreation programs)
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Communications Strategy- Develop and execute communications strategies that align with business objectives and sales goals for all three companies.
- Lead A/B testing for email campaigns, ads, and landing pages to optimize click-through rates and conversions.
- Plan and launch multi-channel campaigns aimed at increasing registrations, sales, and overall engagement.
- Create and manage monthly marketing calendars tailored to each brand.
Social Media Management- Own and manage the social media presence of three different brands (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging and brand-aligned content daily.
- Monitor engagement, respond to DMs and comments promptly and with professionalism.
- Leverage analytics to report on growth, engagement, and campaign effectiveness to adjust tactics and strategies accordingly.
- Drive traffic from social channels to the website and sales platforms with compelling calls-to-action.
Creative Content & Branding- Design and produce branded digital assets (e.g., graphics, reels, promotional materials).
- Stay on top of trends in digital marketing, youth sports, and family programming to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Collaborate with team members to generate ideas for promotions and campaigns.
Sales-Focused Marketing- Identify and act on opportunities to increase conversions through targeted marketing tactics.
- Use data to inform where and how marketing efforts are impacting sales or registration numbers.
- Develop partnerships, community engagement opportunities, or social proof to support marketing success.
Website and Email Marketing- Maintain and update website content to reflect sales windows, seasonal campaigns, and ongoing business developments
- Optimize websites and product pages for search engine performance (SEO) to improve visibility and rankings
- Plan, develop, and curate engaging email newsletters for all three companies
- Monitor and refine email automation workflows to enhance engagement and efficiency
Project & Portfolio Management- Effectively manage tasks, timelines, and marketing content across three business portfolios.
- Seamlessly shift focus between brands as needed, maintaining clarity and brand consistency.
- Update company drives, branding guides, and communications manuals.
Communications & Customer-Facing Support
- Prepare business proposals, grant applications, award submissions, and other public relations materials in alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Provide in-store marketing support by promoting products and course offerings.
- Deliver exceptional customer service across all communication channels and in person.
Team Collaboration & Support- Assist the Director of Operations and CEO with high-level initiatives, reporting, or administrative support.
- Contribute to a fun, supportive, and inclusive team culture.
- Take initiative and act as a self-starter who follows through with minimal supervision.
Qualifications- Proven experience in marketing, communications, or social media management (multi-brand preferred).
- Demonstrated success in using social media to drive conversions and engagement.
- Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp (or similar email marketing tools), and basic analytics tools.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, website management tools (e.g., Shopify and Wix), and search engine optimization (SEO) is considered a huge asset.
- Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize independently.
- Background in youth programs, sports, or community-based organizations is an asset.
- Retail experience and customer service skills are an added bonus.
Schedule:
- Weekday availability with occasional weekend and weeknight as needed for all events
- Daytime hours (35-40 hours per week)
Salary:
- $50,000 annually
