Scarborough Food Security Initiative (Feed Scarborough) is a community-driven charity in South Scarborough focused on addressing Food Insecurity and Poverty. Established during the pandemic, Feed Scarborough employs a three-tiered approach to food insecurity: the Urgent Need approach (operating food banks, mobile soup kitchens, and COVID vaccine awareness programs), the Long-Term Sustainable approach (business incubation, culinary and hospitality training for youth, community gardens, and sustainable food growing training), and the Systemic approach (advocating for policy change to recognize food as a human right). We serve over community members weekly through our programs.
