Our esteemed client is looking to bring on aMarketing & Communications Coordinatorfor their busy firm located in downtown Calgary.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in both internal and external communications, as well as social media, website management, and full-cycle event coordination. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this individual will effectively coordinate multiple initiatives from conception to completion.

Required is an unwavering attention to detail, the ability to prioritize with strict adherence to deadlines, and excellent communication skills. This candidate must be confident to hit the ground running and take ownership of this exciting, multifaceted role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General:

  • Draft internal and external communication including, but not limited to, blogs, memos, presentations, videos, and social media posts
  • Manage communications sections of the corporate site, external website, and social media pages
  • Build relationships with subject matter experts to ensure appropriate input and alignment of messaging
  • Maintain and enhance client relationships and internal communications
  • Conduct market research regarding competitor information, client announcements, and emerging market trends
  • Develop and manage the corporate communication calendar
  • Improve marketing resources, such as brochures, trade show booths, banners, merchandise, etc.
  • Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help future marketing strategies

Event Planning:

  • Plan and organize multiple client and staff events
  • Ensuring budget, securing venue, inviting clients, updating guest list, confirming menu, overseeing reception at event, and collecting post-event feedback
  • Manage events by keeping track of attendance, obtaining sponsorship and registrations, designing logos/bios, ordering and distributing merchandise, and developing presentations
  • Utilize various social media platforms to publish corresponding posts, advertisements, and reminders

Education:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, marketing, communications, or equivalent is an asset

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Marketing and Communications is required
  • Previous event planning/coordinating experience is a strong asset

Base Salary:$23-25 per hour (based on experience)

Work Hours:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday

Remote Work:

  • This position is not remote. You are required to work onsite

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
