Würth Canada is seeking a results-driven Business Development Specialist to help implement go-to-market strategies and identify growth opportunities across channels in Canada. You will collaborate with the Division Manager to define product ranges, analyze markets, and support sales initiatives through field visits and marketing support.

The role requires 2–3 years in a similar capacity, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to travel within Canada.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Business Operations/Strategy, or related subject.
  • Bilingual French/English - verbal and written is an asset.
  • Highly analytical and influential to drive a high level of performance within the division.
  • 2-3 years in a similar capacity is an asset; developing and executing market and sales strategies within multiple sales channels.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Division Manager in implementing a go-to-market plan for the Division.
  • Identify divisional market fields/segments with growth potential and cascade strategy to Salesforce.
  • Develop strategic and operational measures to drive sales growth with the Division Manager.
  • Help define the product range and services portfolio for the Division.
  • Conduct market research and report back with insights from customer visits and price trends.
  • Support joint sales calls and ride-alongs to boost activity and progress.

Reporting to the Division Manager, the Business Development Specialist responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Division Manager in implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan for the Division.
  • Identify and assess the divisional market fields/segments with potential for growth, implement the sales and marketing strategic plan as developed by the Division Manager and cascade to the Salesforce in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Assist in developing strategic and operational measures/instruments to drive sales growth in collaboration with Division Manager.
  • Support in identifying/formulating the product range and services portfolio of the Division in collaboration with the Division Manager.
  • Conduct market research and reporting back to the Division Manager by on-going visits to customers, studying competition, and analysing pricing trends.
  • Make joint sales calls and ride along on a regular basis with the sales teams to support sales activities and evaluate progress, create action plans, and execute on them for continuous improvement in collaboration with the Division Management.
  • Drive Implementation of technical and marketing support required to improve on divisional sales activities.
  • In collaboration with the Division Manager, drive implementation of sales incentives and product focused campaigns to drive sales growth via all sales channels.
  • In collaboration with trainers and Division Manager, help facilitate division specific training for the sales force staff (e.g., new & existing staff, regional product training, product managers and other divisional representatives).
  • Leverage customer insights to develop sales enablement tools that support sales reps and add value in the field.
  • The ability and flexibility to travel (within Canada) as required and work outside normal business hour.

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring

  • Degree or diploma in Business Operations/Strategy, or related subject preferred.

  • Strong organization skills and ability to balance project work with urgent day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications, in addition to experience using CRM systems.
  • The ability and flexibility to travel (within Canada) as required and work outside normal business hour.
