Marketing + Business Development Lead

We are looking for a Marketing & Business Development (M+BD) Lead to support and implement the strategic business development efforts to position DIALOG as a leader in Aviation and Transit.

The M+BD Lead will get it done by working closely with the Aviation and Transit Practice Chairs, practice/region/discipline group members, marketing and communications team members, and other stakeholders. M+BD Leads play a lead role in the research, development, planning and execution of a cohesive and integrated strategy. The M+BD Lead will be responsible for understanding the practice group/discipline needs and changing the conversation about architecture, engineering and planning helping us with the respective business development efforts and strategic plan.

A perceptive, creative and strategic communications and management professional, the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and expertise. How you'll make a difference:

• Develop a strong understanding of their practice group portfolio and team members
• Work collaboratively with practice group and M+BD team members to develop and execute upon a market strategy and an annual plan, with accountability for delivering upon priorities and revenue goals
• Provide leadership and support on key pursuits in the practice groups, collaborating with regional marketing colleagues and project teams to develop winning submissions and collateral.
• Co-lead annual budget development and sales revenue targets with the practice group Chairs, and work with Financial Operations to track return on investment and other financial metrics
• Support client relationship management efforts and lead knowledge management for the practice groups using DIALOG’s CRM platform
• Develop and maintain a market pipeline report and maintain data on client cultivation and engagement tracking
• Locate and research mid-and long-term opportunities within the scope and geography of the practice group strategies
• Provide leadership for “go/no go analysis” for project pursuits with key clients in the market sector, helping the practice groups make good decisions
• Work with practice group members to prioritize and action award applications, project photography, conference participation, and client engagement events
• In partnership with the Communications + Content team, develop a marketing and communications plan for the practice groups, inclusive of project and people promotion, milestones and key wins, awards, conferences, PR opportunities and storytelling
• In addition to practice group responsibilities, a M+BD Lead’s portfolio may also include region/s and/or discipline/s to support as business and work evolves

• 5-7 years of experience in marketing
• 3+ years experience and knowledge in A/E Industry or similar complex professional services industries knowledge and experience. Knowledge of the Aviation and Transit sectors are an asset
• A passion for meaningfully improving the wellbeing of our communities, in particular through Aviation and Transit.
• Experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment, coordinating a broad range of stakeholders from senior-level partners to other design professionals and external consultants
• Understand and can navigate the nuances of an RFP/RFQ and breakdown the requirements in logical and succinct manner
