As a premier Data as a Service (DaaS) provider, we provide businesses, investors, and developers with comprehensive financial market data and analytics solutions.

Our mission is to make institutional-grade financial information more accessible, enabling our clients to build innovative applications, models, tools, and financial products using accurate and reliable data.

We are a fast-moving, technology-driven company that values initiative, adaptability, continuous learning, and people who are willing to take ownership and contribute across the business.

About the Role

We are looking for a Marketing Business Analyst to support FMP's growth and marketing initiatives through data analysis, performance reporting, market research, and business insights.

This role will focus on analyzing marketing performance, customer behaviour, acquisition channels, website activity, and campaign results to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and uncover opportunities for growth. The successful candidate will turn complex data into actionable insights that help the business make informed decisions and improve marketing performance.

Working closely with the Growth & Marketing Lead, Finance, Sales, and other teams, this person will help develop reporting tools, monitor key performance indicators, evaluate marketing initiatives, and support data-driven business decisions.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with data, investigating business problems, identifying patterns, and translating analysis into practical recommendations in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Analytics & Performance Reporting
  • Analyze marketing performance across digital channels, campaigns, and customer acquisition activities.
  • Track key performance indicators, including website traffic, conversion rates, lead generation, customer acquisition costs, and return on marketing investment.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance tracking tools.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular reports and present findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Business Intelligence & Growth Analysis
  • Analyze customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and conversion to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Evaluate marketing channels and campaigns to understand which activities generate the strongest results.
  • Support forecasting, performance tracking, and analysis of growth opportunities.
  • Conduct competitor, industry, and market research to support marketing strategy and business planning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business challenges and provide data-backed recommendations.
Data Management & Optimization
  • Collect, organize, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify gaps in data quality, tracking, and reporting, and recommend improvements.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of marketing analytics tools, tracking systems, and reporting processes.
  • Assist with campaign measurement, attribution analysis, and customer segmentation.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve the efficiency of recurring analytical tasks.
Cross-Functional Business Support
  • Work closely with Growth & Marketing to measure campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Sales to connect marketing activity with revenue, customer value, and broader business performance.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support business planning, special projects, and ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Take ownership of analytical projects from initial investigation through to recommendations and implementation support.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, marketing analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful business insights.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including data analysis, formulas, reporting, and data manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing metrics, including conversion rates, acquisition costs, campaign performance, and customer engagement.
  • Understanding of web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics 4 and marketing performance tracking is an asset.
  • Ability to work with large datasets, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and continuous learning.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, business intelligence platforms, or data visualization tools is an asset.
  • Experience in fintech, SaaS, financial services, financial data, or B2B technology is an asset.
What We Value

We are looking for someone who:

  • Looks beyond the numbers to understand what is driving results.
  • Takes initiative and identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Has strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • Can communicate complex information in a clear and practical way.
  • Is comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams.
  • Learns quickly and adapts as business priorities evolve.
  • Follows through on projects and turns insights into actionable recommendations.
