Marketing Broker - Farm

Location: Hybrid or in-office

About this Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director, Commercial and Farm, the Marketing Broker works within the Sales Division team, acting as the primary intermediary between the sales team and insurance companies. The marketing broker ensures that One Insurance meets its service and sales goals in conjunction with the Sales Division team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the processing and the documentation of all renewals and endorsements for assigned Insurance Advisors through the Broker Management System (BMS).

• Maintain BMS client files up to date with current information and organized per the One Insurance file management guidelines.

• Responsible for new business submissions to insurance markets including fielding questions from markets, gathering and organizing market responses and quotes received.

• Responsible for monitoring and alerting Insurance Advisors on potential issues or concerns regarding accounts.

• Working in a team supporting Insurance Advisors when they are away or unavailable.

Ideal Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry with preference for experience in Commercial and/or Farm

• Experience using Epic, or other insurance software and various insurance portals is a must.

• Strong demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Ex: Word, Excel, Outlook) and a general proficiency with computers

• Must have a Manitoba Driver’s License and ability to travel to all ONE Insurance locations when required.

• Organized and efficient with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask

• Flexibility and a positive team player approach with effective communication skills

• Level 2 insurance license is required.

• Knowledge of a wide variety of risk classes and ability to handle both large and small accounts.

• Thorough understanding of Insurance markets, policies/wordings and procedures are essential to this position.
