The Opportunity

This position works out of our Mississauga office for the Abbott Core Lab Division. At Abbott – Core Lab, we’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support Marketing Manager through the development, implementation, tracking and measuring activities established in the Marketing Plan.
  2. Organize Abbott’s participation in Conferences and special programs to showcase Abbott’s technologies and solutions while strengthening the relationship with various stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with Marketing Manager and others to plan and execute internal activities such as Town Halls, Lunch and Learns, etc.
  4. Track Marketing project expenses and assist in managing the budget.
  5. Support the sales team by providing promotional materials as well as addressing one-time requests that would help the commercial organization to execute their plans in the field.

These responsibilities require strong communication, organizational, and project management skills, along with a good understanding of healthcare trends and tactics.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s in business, Marketing and/or Science.
  2. Strong understanding of and experience with marketing theory, strategy and plan execution.
  3. Strong understanding of and experience with brand building and planning.
  4. Experience working with retail customers and creative agencies.
  5. Results-oriented.
  6. Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  7. Presentation skills.
  8. Advanced communication skills.
  9. Advanced computer skills in MS Office as well as Windows Outlook.
