Qualifications

  • Experience in beverage alcohol, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or a related industry is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of trade marketing programs and promotional activities across retail and on‑premise channels.
  • Prepare campaign materials including trade decks, sales support materials, and promotional assets.
  • Coordinate digital marketing initiatives and content deployment.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and execution requirements to ensure on-schedule delivery.

Marketing Associate – British Columbia

Reports to: Marketing Director, BC Location: Burnaby, BC

Position Summary

The Marketing Associate supports the Marketing Director, BC in the execution, coordination, and reporting of trade marketing activities across the AWSM wine and spirits portfolio in British Columbia.

This role provides analytical, operational, and executional support for approved marketing programs, promotional activities, digital initiatives, and in‑market events. The Marketing Associate works closely with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, suppliers, and external partners to help ensure marketing initiatives are delivered effectively and on schedule.

The successful candidate will be detail‑oriented, analytical, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop their marketing career through hands‑on experience in trade marketing, analytics, campaign execution, and brand activation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Program Execution & Coordination

  • Support the execution of approved trade marketing programs and promotional activities across retail and on‑premise channels
  • Prepare campaign execution materials, including trade decks, sales support materials, promotional assets, and other marketing resources based on approved marketing direction
  • Support execution of digital marketing initiatives, including coordination of approved campaign components, content deployment, and promotional activities
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and execution requirements to ensure marketing initiatives are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Support tastings, events, supplier visits, and other in‑market marketing activities
  • Assist with event coordination, including logistics, materials preparation, and execution support
  • Ensure marketing materials and deliverables align with brand standards and approved marketing direction

2. Marketing Analytics & Reporting Support

  • Extract, compile, and organize sales, promotional, and brand performance data using internal reporting systems and tools
  • Support preparation of routine marketing reports and performance summaries
  • Maintain accurate reporting information and tracking tools to support marketing activities
  • Analyze available data to identify trends and provide insights to support internal discussions
  • Support tracking of promotional activity performance and campaign results
  • Assist with preparation of presentations and reporting materials for internal meetings and business reviews

3. Marketing Operations Support

  • Coordinate marketing activity timelines, assets, and execution requirements
  • Maintain accurate records related to marketing programs, promotional activities, and campaign materials
  • Support product information requests, marketing asset coordination, and promotional material requirements
  • Assist with supplier communications related to marketing assets, product information, accolades, and execution requirements
  • Support administrative coordination related to marketing activities, events, and promotional initiatives

4. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and other internal teams to support execution of approved marketing initiatives
  • Assist with preparation of materials required for sales meetings, promotional planning discussions, and internal reviews
  • Support alignment between internal teams to ensure marketing activities are executed effectively
  • Provide execution support for retail and trade marketing initiatives across British Columbia
Qualifications & Skills

Experience

  • University degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing coordination, trade marketing support, analytics, sales support, or related roles
  • Experience in beverage alcohol, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or a related industry is considered an asset

Technical Knowledge

  • Experience with reporting, CRM, or business intelligence systems such as XRM, Power BI, or similar platforms is an asset
  • Familiarity with marketing reporting, promotional tracking, and campaign execution processes is preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to occasionally support events and in‑market activities, including evenings or weekends as required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company automobile insurance requirements
  • Valid Canadian passport and ability to travel occasionally as required
