Terms: Contract until 6/30/2025 (strong possibility to extend to an 18-month total contract length)

Job Description
The main function of a marketing assistant is to research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service. A typical marketing assistant is responsible for gathering information on competitors and methods of marketing and distribution.
This role supports the Digital Program Team. They focus on customer evidence to include collaborating with agencies to conduct interviews and understand how customers are leveraging technologies to drive improvements.
Responsibilities
• Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.
• Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
• Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data.
• Seek and provide information to help companies determine their position in the marketplace.
Typical Task Breakdown
• 20-30% weekly meetings with agencies and your manager, and 70% heads down, working on the program and how to improve it.
Requirements
· 8-10 overall years of experience in the field.
· Bachelors degree in marketing or equivalent training preferred.
· Proficiency with Copilot (or comparable tools) and the Microsoft Suite of tools.
· Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
· Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
· Basic knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
· Basic knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
Other
· A background in journalism can be highly beneficial, as it fosters strong research skills and the ability to pursue relevant information effectively. While this isn’t a traditional newsroom, the program involves interviewing individuals and producing engaging media for readers.
· this role requires flexibility and adaptability. If someone prefers to strictly follow a manual or playbook and is uncomfortable deviating from it, they may not be the best fit. They are looking for someone who can be agile, think on their feet, and pivot as needed.
Top 3 Must-Haves
1. Minimum 5+ years experience with proficiency with excel - Excel is heavily utilized on this team.
2. Minimum 5+ years experience with knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services - understanding what makes a good story.
3. Minimum 5+ years experience with knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
*Preference will go to candidates who are bilingual in Portuguese.
