Our members represent the leading construction, engineering, legal, and advisory firms, banks and financiers, and operators and facilities maintenance firms working hard to build Canada’s much needed public infrastructure as well as the public sector owners.

The Council’s vision is to shape the future of Canada’s infrastructure and services by delivering value to Canadians through Public-Private Partnerships (P3s). The Council does this through:

  • Convening both public and private market participants to discuss leading practices and harness lessons learned and adapting the model as needed;
  • Advocating for the use of public-private partnership models, where appropriate to build a sustained pipeline of projects across the country; and
  • Conducting research to support evidence-based decision making and demonstrate the benefits of the model.

ABOUT THE JOB

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Communications, the Communications Officer will:

  • Develop social media posts, maintain social media calendar and investigate new ways to attract and inform followers
  • Maintain and update Council’s website to drive greater traffic and more engaging content
  • Produce daily news clipping package on deadline for distribution to CCPPP members
  • Capture, analyze and report on communication analytics
  • Design social media graphics and edit images and video
  • Support the planning and execution of meetings, gatherings and special events including the Annual Conference

  • Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required

RELEVANT SKILLS

  • Website management experience using Kentico, WordPress and/or HTML
  • Social media management experience on behalf of a non-profit, association or company, especially using LinkedIn to engage with a professional audience and using X to monitor for political, policy and business news
  • Excellent eye for creating impactful graphic design and in selecting the right image for a project
  • Solid writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as organization and time-management skills
  • Interest in politics, business and current affairs are assets
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel), Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, and Canva
  • Experience with the YourMembership platform and Higher Logic (Informz) email marketing software are assets
  • Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English is required. Bilingualism is an asset
  • Experience with deadline reporting is also an asset

In addition, a Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, journalism or other relevant field is required. Relevant work experience in combination with education will be considered.
