Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate Marketing and Communications Manager for our Process Industries division in North America. The ideal candidate is a creative, proactive team player familiar with digital marketing and automation tools, reporting to the Global Business Line Communications and Marketing Manager for Mining. Your focus will be on developing customer-centric marketing plans and campaigns to enhance brand visibility, foster thought leadership, and drive revenue through digital strategies that support customers throughout their buying journey.

You will collaborate with local management, sales teams, and global communication leads to localize and implement integrated marketing initiatives that promote ABB’s portfolio and successes to stakeholders including customers, media, influencers, and employees. Ensuring executional excellence aligned with brand and strategy is essential.

This position is open in Canada, US, and Mexico, with a preference for Montreal, Canada.

  • Translate global strategies into localized marketing and communication plans to increase visibility and demand.
  • Create impactful stories and materials such as press releases, videos, presentations, and social media content to promote ABB’s projects and expertise.
  • Manage participation in local events, trade shows, and seminars to position ABB effectively.
  • Coordinate internal communications to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Organize and host local townhalls with the management team.
Qualifications
  • University degree in journalism, communication, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing communications, preferably in B2B or agency settings.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts engagingly.
  • Creative and innovative mindset aligned with brand consistency.
  • Solution-oriented, self-motivated, with strategic and analytical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot).
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the portfolio.
  • Collaborative team player with a broad professional network.
