Tatham Engineering is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to help drive our brand forward. In this role, you’ll manage our social media presence, shape our content strategy, run marketing campaigns, and deliver relevant messaging that resonates with our audiences. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across key platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to drive engagement and align with marketing goals.
- Regularly update the website with new projects and information, ensuring it’s visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for SEO.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media and online performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite.
- Engage with online communities to foster brand identity, build relationships, and grow the follower base by responding to comments, initiating conversations, and creating interactive content.
- Lead employee incentivization programs to encourage staff participation in Tatham’s social media efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare award submissions, client presentations and other promotional materials.
- Draft and distribute press releases and coordinate external outreach to support marketing campaigns and company announcements.
- Assist with the planning and promotion of recruitment initiatives, career fairs, and business development events.
- Oversee the creation of engaging multimedia content—including video, photography (e.g., employee headshots, project site visits, office culture), and graphics—for both internal and external use.
- Manage marketing assets such as logos, brochures, and other marketing collateral to ensure consistency and timely updates.
- Provide mentorship and distribute work to junior staff, including students.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
- Minimum of 2-5 years in digital marketing, content creation or social media management
- Strong copywriting and editing skills
- Proficiency in photography, video production and editing, with a keen eye for visual composition
- Working knowledge of drone operation and aerial imaging techniques (certification or experience an asset)
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere), Canva, WordPress, Microsoft Office Suite and an understanding of SEO best practices
- A high level of initiative, excellent communication, and a passion for teamwork and collaboration
- Knowledge of engineering or construction industry is considered an asset
- Must have a valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle
