Martin's Family Fruit Farm is one of Canada’s largest apple growers, packers and processors. Located in Waterloo, Martin’s operates advanced apple storage, sorting, grading and packing facilities. In addition, Martin’s operates a state-of-the-art processing facility in Elmira, Ontario where we produce consumer apple products, including our famous Crispy Apple Chips and our ground-breaking line-up of apple puree products such as Apple Smash.

We are currently seeking a Marketing / Advertising & Promotions Specialist to join Martin’s Family Fruit Farm. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing / Advertising & Promotions Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Marketing initiatives. This is a full-time permanent, in-office position, at Martin’s 1420 Lobsinger Line, Waterloo, Ontario location.

The Marketing / Advertising & Promotions Specialist has a sound understanding of our Marketing activities and understands his/her role in bringing them to life. This individual will play a lead role in Martin’s e-commerce and social media (SM) initiatives. Further, this individual will have an integral part in website maintenance, promotional activities and internal/external communications via newsletters and other vehicles.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the maintenance and currency of Martin's website and SM Platforms.
  • Propose enhancements to Martin's website and social media, based upon user feedback, competitive activities, and best practices.
  • Manage all Trade Show schedules, materials and logistics.
  • Support Orchard Market community and consumer-based promotions and activities.
  • Contribute to and manage aspects of Martin's Consumer Loyalty Program
  • Manage inventories of Sales & Marketing merchandising materials and digital assets.
  • Contribute to development and design of SM content
  • Ensure compliance to brand standards in the usage of Martin's brands.
  • Prepare, interpret, and communicate Social Media metrics monthly.
  • Coordinate key elements of Martin's Corporate Social Responsibility program including community donations and outreach tracking
  • Monitor trends and stay up to date on platform updates, emerging tools, and best practices to keep our brand ahead of the curve.
  • Help plan and execute local community events that promote brand awareness.

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in business with concentration on Marketing
  • 2-3 years' experience in a Marketing capacity
  • Highly motivated with a strong bias for action
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and other design software as required
  • Well versed in Social Media platforms, their application as business growth tools and the interpretation of key metrics
  • Basic understanding of website development
  • Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed multi-tasking, time-management, and prioritization skills
  • Creative and able to think ‘out of the box’
