This position will be primarily responsible for overseeing and delivering technology-driven initiatives. We support business changes, provide End User QA Testing, and assist clients with application certification.

We are seeking one full-time team member to join our growing all-star team. The team is Business Critical, with members in Montreal and Toronto’s financial districts. The successful candidate will work full-time from our state-of-the-art Montreal office, located in the new Deloitte Tower, adjacent to the Bell Centre.

You’ll be joining our Market Operations team, supporting our Derivatives trading and market data lines of business.

Availability: The candidate must be available from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM Monday to Friday (7.5-hour day shift). During testing periods, the team may be asked to work outside of regular hours and may need to change shifts to cover for colleagues during absences (vacation, sick/personal days).

The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting existing clients and shaping the future of our client base as a contributor to all technology and trading business initiatives. Responsibilities include Level One and Level Two support, application certification, and End User QA testing. Our clients include Direct Market Access Vendors, Canadian and Foreign Approved Participants, and Market Data Vendors.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Provide high-level customer-focused service and act as a positive ambassador for TMX Group.
  2. Recommend process improvements for the team’s work practices.
  3. Coordinate customer communications with other teams as needed.
  4. Gather market intelligence and engage product management with new development ideas.
  5. Monitor industry competitors and summarize findings with recommendations for management.

Must Have(s):

  • 3-5 years of industry experience.
  • Understanding of market operations, industry economics, and customer business.
  • Knowledge of Derivative and Equity markets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative team player with effective working relationships with business development and technology teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written (contacts and collaboration primarily in English).

Nice to Have(s):

  • Knowledge of Google Workspace.
  • Understanding of network fundamentals & IT components, including Netscout and Wireshark for triage.
