Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Role Overview

The Market Design Leader (MDL) is responsible for achieving sales goals, maintaining profit performance, gross margin, inventory levels, and customer service. The MDL ensures the Design Center's image through merchandising, drives sales growth, and inspires staff to reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the overall operations of the design center.
  2. Implement leadership principles, including change initiatives and relationship building.
  3. Coach and hold the team accountable to sales goals and benchmarks.
  4. Drive new business through grassroots marketing, social media, and community engagement.
  5. Develop sales and profit strategies for the design and service centers.
  6. Review financial statements and collaborate with leadership on budgets.
  7. Build community relationships to positively impact the business.
  8. Supervise and evaluate leadership activities, conduct performance appraisals.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and provide staff training and development.
  10. Work with accounting and regional leadership on sales forecasts and financial controls.
  11. Contribute ideas for policy improvements and inventory reconciliation.
  12. Propose innovative strategies for business growth.
Qualifications

Education: BA or BS in Business, Interior Design, or related field, with relevant coursework.

Experience: Minimum five years in retail sales management, supervisory experience, multi-store management preferred. Strong business acumen, communication, and motivation skills. Availability for travel and flexible hours.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range of $85,000 - $95,000 plus bonus, with a generous benefits package and RRSP matching.
