What - the Role :

We are seeking a new Market Analyst on behalf of our client. This role focuses on providing detailed analysis to guide the company’s long-term commercial strategy and fleet management decisions. Key responsibilities include market, competition, and trend analysis, evaluating fleet composition, deployment, and customer strategies, and closely monitoring cost and profit factors to ensure optimal fleet operations. The role involves developing KPIs, generating reports for various teams, managing the forward-looking budget, and providing insights to ensure cost-effective fleet allocation. The analyst will also support management of commercial claims, trip planning, ad-hoc reporting, and projects. Swim Recruiting will provide candidates with a full job description.

Who - the Candidate :

Qualified candidates will have a university degree in a related field such as business, finance, data analytics, supply chain, or engineering. We seek individuals with at least 4 years of experience in a similar data analytics role. Experience in a fleet-deploying business (shipping, trucking, delivery, utilities, transportation, oil & gas, etc.) is highly preferred.

Strong analytical abilities are essential, with a proven ability to organize, analyze, and present complex data to internal stakeholders across various departments. Candidates must have experience creating, implementing, and monitoring business KPIs, with particular expertise in MARKET ANALYSIS—not just general business or financial analysis.

The ideal candidate is tech-savvy and proficient with analytical and data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau for creating dashboards and reports. Effective communication skills are also necessary to facilitate the smooth flow of critical information across teams.

Where :

Headquartered in Downtown Vancouver, near public transit and amenities like restaurants and shops. After training, the analyst can work remotely 1-2 days per week.

How Much :

The salary range is competitive, between $88,000 and $110,000, commensurate with experience and skills. The total compensation package includes close to 6 weeks of paid time off, a performance-based bonus, an employee equity purchase plan, a pension plan, excellent health & dental benefits, and professional development support.
