Compensation

Marker-Grader positions are paid according to qualifications:

• Master’s Degree Complete: $34.10/hour (effective September 1, 2024)
• Undergraduate Degree Complete: $29.40/hour (effective September 1, 2024)
• Third Year Complete: $21.70/hour (effective September 1, 2024)
• Second Year Complete: $19.09/hour (effective September 1, 2024)
• First Year Complete: $18.00/hour (effective September 1, 2024)

Duties

Duties include marking assignments, projects, exams, and providing written feedback. May also involve invigilating exams and entering grades into databases, in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.

Qualifications

• a) Master's degree or enrolled in a Master's program in relevant fields.
• b) Honours B.A. with 80%+ average.
• c) Dependability and strong time management skills.
• d) Knowledge of Political Ecology, Political Economy in Tourism, Geography, or Development Studies.
• e) Mastery of Harvard, APA, MLA referencing styles.
• f) Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Brightspace.
• g) Knowledge of Brock University Academic Integrity policies.
• h) Courses in Political Ecology, Political Economy, or Human Rights are assets.
