Job summary

COVE seeks a Project Engineer in Dartmouth, NS to provide engineering oversight and governance across a portfolio of complex marine and dual-use technology projects.

You will translate operational needs into engineering requirements, validate interfaces, and review vendor solutions for feasibility, safety, and lifecycle alignment. This role requires certification eligibility and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• P.Eng designation or eligible for registration.
• 5+ years’ progressive engineering experience.
• Security clearance eligibility required.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, systems integration, and technical governance.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight and governance across multiple complex projects.
• Review designs, test plans and vendor proposals for feasibility, safety and compliance.
• Identify technical and safety risks and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, government stakeholders, and SMEs.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
