Job description

Marine Instrument Technologist, Geophysics

Reporting to the NFSI Manager, the Marine EM Instrument Technologist’s primary responsibility will be to develop and operate a towed time-domain electromagnetic streamer for shallow water seafloor mapping. They will also be expected to support BOBS maintenance and field operations as required, working flexibly with other technologists in the NFSI team. After an initial training period, they may be expected to lead small teams for field operations. The position will be based out of the NFSI facility at Dalhousie University but will require travel and offshore work approximately 25% of the time.
