Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions in Ottawa, ON, is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer onsite. You will design and validate test programs for electronic boards and systems, develop test software, and support production transfer of new designs.

You will also mentor junior staff and collaborate with engineering to ensure robust test coverage. The role requires a engineering/computer science degree with substantial experience, strong C and Python skills, and familiarity with LabVIEW and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science with 6 years of experience.
  • Technologist diploma with 10 years of experience in electronic/electro-mechanical environments.
  • Experience with C programming, Python scripts, JTAG, and Test Executives.
  • Knowledge of SBC systems (Intel, ARM) and Linux OS distributions.
  • Experience with LabVIEW/LabWindows/CVI and TestStand.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test new manufacturing test applications for production.
  • Ensure test equipment is available and functioning to support projects.
  • Provide sustaining test support to manufacturing at test areas.
  • Update and maintain test software and documentation.
  • Contribute to architecture reviews, test coverage and new technology evaluations.
  • Interface with design teams for New Product Introduction of test suites.

Manufacturing Test Engineer – OnsiteJoin our world class manufacturing facility in Ottawa, ON!!As our Manufacturing Test Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting and validating manufacturing test program suites (procedures, hardware, software and fixtures) for electronic board and system level products. You will also have responsibility to develop test software applications to assist with product design verification and support the training and transfer to production of new designs.
