On behalf of our smart grid technology client, we are searching for a Manufacturing Test Engineer! Are you a passionate and analytical Engineer with a background in electronics? This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with onsite work from Monday to Friday.
Compensation includes:
Base salary $65K – $95K based on experience

Job Responsibilities:
Design and implement manufacturing test strategies, systems, specifications, and software.
Manage engineering changes by collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure thorough implementation and documentation.
Partner with electronics manufacturing service providers and contract manufacturers to address technical challenges related to company products.
Provide remote support for product testing issues within the manufacturing process.
Assess alternative vendors for manufacturing services based on quality standards and commercial feasibility.
Facilitate and coordinate manufacturing quality audits, evaluating the quality of materials and finished products, including incoming and outgoing audits as required.
Offer leadership and guidance to junior engineers, technologists, technicians, operations staff, and co-op/interns within the manufacturing team.
Travel once or twice per year to contract manufacturer locations and other company product development sites as needed.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or B.A.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of experience with electronics manufacturing or similar
In-depth experience with manufacturing test strategies and implementations
Eligible to register with EGBC as an EIT, if not already registered
Experience with writing software in C, C++, C#, LabView, TestStand or Python
Strong ability to interpret hardware designs, including reading electronic schematics and interpreting Bill of Materials
Experience with Linux installation and configuration, networking and security implementations
Experience with both board level and system/box level manufacturing and test methodologies, change control processes, and data analysis for monitoring production yields/failures (statistical process control)
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Motivated self-starter that can adapt and multi-task
Must have a high level of cultural awareness to work effectively with overseas stakeholder groups
