Job summary

STEMCELL Technologies' GMP Manufacturing Team is expanding; Manufacturing Technologists are needed to support production of life science research products in an aseptic clean room environment. Expect late evenings and occasional weekends based on batch schedules.

You’ll work collaboratively, perform hands-on manufacturing, and help drive continuous improvement across processes. Responsibilities include operating production equipment, following batch records per GMP/GDP, weighing and preparing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on a shift basis as needed.
  • Experience with SAP or GMP systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, set up, and operate production equipment for manufacturing.
  • Follow batch records and procedures to ensure GMP/GDP standards.
  • Weigh raw materials, perform compounding, formulation and aseptic processing.
  • Maintain production records and assist investigations as required.

Job Description Summary

STEMCELL Technologies' GMP Manufacturing Team is continuing to expand and we are looking for more Manufacturing Technologists to join our team to support production of our life science research products! In this role, you will work collaboratively with other team members, performing hands-on work, and manufacturing products in an aseptic clean room environment. As a member of the Manufacturing GMP team, your work is essential to making our high quality research products that drive science forward! This is an excellent position to progress your career in the scientific field by refining your aseptic skills and learning industry documentation practices, while supporting a culture of continuous improvement. Please note, late evening and occasional weekend work may be required based on production batching schedules and business needs.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, set up, and operate production equipment required in the manufacturing of products

  • Follow written batch records and procedures to manufacture assigned products while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) standards

  • Perform duties such as: weighing of raw materials, compounding, formulating, and aseptic processing

  • Adhere to our Quality Management System by maintaining accurate production records and electronic transactions

  • Generate new GMP documents and work with supporting departments on investigations

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline (e.g., Biochemistry, Chemistry, Cell Biology) or an equivalent field

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a desire to build collaborative relationships with colleagues

  • An adaptable work schedule based on the production needs, with the ability to work on a shift basis as required to meet business demands

  • Ability to lift, arrange and transport objects up to 25-30 lbs

  • Experience with SAP or GMP regulated systems is an asset

The annual salary for this job ranges from:

59,900.00 - 81,100.00 CAD Annual

The annual salary for this job ranges from:

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
