Job summary

Bio-Techne Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented assembler to join our Life Sciences production team in Toronto. You will assemble and test cartridges and sub-assemblies, strictly following procedures, and recording test data using a computer.

The role requires careful manual assembly, ability to work with a microscope for extended periods, and adherence to gowning and cleanliness protocols; a high school diploma is required, with experience in GC columns or microfluidics assembly being a plus.

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills (written and oral).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Gas Chromatography (GC) Columns or microfluidics assembly a plus.
  • Experience in electronic or medical device assembly a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect, assemble, and test cartridges or sub-assemblies using approved assembly procedures.
  • Able to follow all work instructions and procedures and record all production information as required.
  • Ability to use a computer to perform tests, download information or record test data.
  • Ability to work with a microscope for extended periods of time.
  • Able to use and maintain hand tools and various types of equipment to assemble and test cartridges.
  • Good hand-eye coordination, stable hands for delicate component assembly.
  • Comply with gowning protocols as required and maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.65

Position Summary:

The qualified individual will be responsible for various aspects of product assembly and testing.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to assemble and use complex instruments and assemblies.

Some of the major areas of responsibility are, but not limited to the following.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visually inspect, assemble, and test cartridges or sub-assemblies using approved assembly procedures.
  • Able to follow all work instructions and procedures and record all production information as required
  • Ability to use a computer to perform tests, download information or record test data.
  • Ability to work with a microscope for extended periods of time
