Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing, fabrication, sheet metal, mechanical, aerospace, or production experience is asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing within a team.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble precision sheet metal components per drawings and specs.
- Perform deburring, drilling, CNC and cold forming, riveting, dimpling, welding, grinding, and other production operations.
- Safely operate a range of manufacturing equipment including press brakes and riveters.
- Inspect components to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Document production activities, track labour and inventory, and meet work orders.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Manufacturing Technician plays a key role in producing precision aircraft components that support the safety, reliability, and performance of helicopters operating around the world. Working as part of a skilled manufacturing team, this position is responsible for fabricating and assembling sheet metal components using a variety of tools, machinery, and manufacturing processes while ensuring every part meets engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and Alpine Aerotech's quality standards. Through precision craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement, the Manufacturing Technician helps deliver products that meet the demanding standards of the aviation industry.

- Fabricate and assemble precision sheet metal components in accordance with engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, and company standards.
- Perform manufacturing processes including deburring, drilling, CNC and cold forming, riveting, dimpling, resistance welding, grinding, sanding, blasting, and other production operations.
- Safely operate a variety of manufacturing equipment and machinery, including press brakes, riveter/dimplers, resistance welders, pneumatic hand tools, and other production equipment.
- Inspect completed components to verify they meet quality, dimensional, and workmanship requirements.
- Complete production documentation, labour tracking, inventory transactions, and work order requirements accurately and efficiently.
- Support manufacturing, production, and shop activities while contributing to team productivity and operational goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment that supports quality manufacturing and operational excellence.
- Follow all company procedures, safe work practices, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Collaborate with fellow manufacturing technicians, quality inspectors, and leadership to meet production schedules while maintaining Alpine Aerotech's high standards for quality and craftsmanship.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail that supports Alpine Aerotech's reputation for manufacturing excellence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, productivity, and manufacturing performance.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge and manufacturing skills while supporting improvements to processes, equipment, and production methods.
