Husky Technologies in Bolton, ON is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to operate CNC machines and produce high‑quality parts to strict tolerances. You will read blueprints, program machines, set up tooling, load materials, and monitor performance across shifts.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, with strong mechanical aptitude, good English, and the ability to lift 40 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Load raw materials and supervise machine operations.
  • Inspect finished parts and ensure conformance to requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Document actions and communicate with Team Leader and Quality Analyst.

Key Requirements
  • Must be able to work rotating shift schedules

Range: $23-$35 (The role may be hired at Level 3, 4, or 5 depending on experience)

In this position you will prepare and operate multiple CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc. to within close tolerances. In addition, you will produce high quality parts and materials by running/programming machines to perform the proper operations and by reading and interpreting blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain tooling in peak condition.
  • Understand specifications and the desired result by reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts into the machines.
  • Supervise the machine while it executes the program and make any necessary adjustments to produce the desired result.
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process was completed properly.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repair if required.
  • Maintains continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating any actions taken or needed.
  • Make subjective quality decisions regarding part cosmetics/aesthetics.
  • Provide key information on machining operation for maintenance during troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting to Manufacturing Technicians as their primary resource.
  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis on non-conformance and scrap events. Communicate as required with Team Leader, Quality Analyst and Programming support on findings and correct dispositioning.
  • Support process manufacturing capability studies and improvement projects.
  • Act as primary point of contact for operations representation in manufacturing reviews.
  • Conduct audits of manufacturing processes
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to recognize upcoming challenges and plan accordingly.
  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and activities while prioritizing according to requirements.
  • Ability to operate and deliver under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understands, writes, and speaks basic and technical English.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CNC machines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
