We are seeking a Manufacturing & Supply Chain Lead to lead supplier readiness efforts for new product introductions (NPI). This role is critical in coordinating cross-functional teams and suppliers through industrialization phases to ensure a successful production ramp-up. This position requires significant travel to support on-site activities and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier readiness and industrialization initiatives for NPIs.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and milestones to meet internal and external deliverables.
- Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, procurement, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Ensure suppliers meet contractual obligations, quality standards, and readiness requirements.
- Monitor project status and escalate risks or issues as necessary.
- Facilitate resolution of technical, supply chain, and production challenges.
- Conduct supplier assessments, evaluate capabilities, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Drive supplier accountability to achieve delivery and performance targets.
- Support manufacturing process implementation, including tooling, equipment, and documentation readiness.
- Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence within the supply base.
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing project management, or manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or similarly complex industries.
- Proven experience managing industrialization and NPI phases.
- Strong knowledge of supplier development, procurement, and production readiness.
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams and holding suppliers accountable.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- PMP certification or formal project management training is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and project tracking tools.
- Must be available to work onsite in Mississauga, Ontario.
- Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 quality standards and aerospace industry practices.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FAI, and production ramp-up methodologies.
