Descriptif mission
Safran Electronics & Defense is looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing team. This position will provide supervision, leadership and mentorship to the Manufacturing Operators. They will also be responsible for creating a working environment that promotes positive employee relations, quality product and adherence to the manufacturing schedule.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for:
- Resource management to achieve shift performance, including Manufacturing Operator and utilization, on-time delivery, exceeding quality and cost standards, validation of component assembly and placement to engineering documents, and health and safety compliance.
- Assisting, leading and implementing continuous quality, productivity and process improvement initiatives including new manufacturing processes and equipment to meet and improve upon production capacity, throughput and costs.
- Leading daily QRQC Level 1 cell meetings with the Manufacturing Operators.
- Raising QRQC Level 1 concerns and metrics to QRQC Level 2 Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) disposition and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) to address production performance issues.
- Tracking, expediting and reporting on work-in-process to maintain schedule integrity through cooperative efforts with Planning.
- Managing product configurations in Manufacturing New Production Introduction (NPI) support to coordinate resources required to support NPI builds.
- Leading, coaching and mentoring Manufacturing Operators while monitoring and reporting absenteeism, tardiness, and work performance issues including progressive discipline to termination with Manufacturing Manager and HR assistance.
- Ensuring that Manufacturing Operators have the required tools and resources to perform their tasks, including latest revision drawings, travellers and work instructions.
- Administrating and tracking consumables, including ensuring re-order requests are forwarded to Purchasing in a timely manner.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems in a manufacturing environment and data analysis to achieve Key Process Indicators.
- Working knowledge in electronic PWB and assembly standards (IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001) preferred.
- Good understanding of Lean/Flow Manufacturing, ISO 9000/2000 and AS 9100.
- Experience in labour relations in a unionized environment.
- Knowledge of applicable Health and Safety regulations (OHSA & internal).
- Excellent team player, with strong interpersonal, communication, organization, coaching and facilitation skills.
