Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer / Continuous Improvement to lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on reducing waste, improving quality, and enhancing productivity throughout our client’s Windsor-area manufacturing site. Our client, a leading manufacturer of metal processing for various industries, including Construction and Automotive, is seeking a dynamic go-getter to champion their C.I. Program.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer / Continuous Improvement will drive process excellence, operational efficiency, and cost savings across our client’s manufacturing operations in Windsor, Ontario. The role involves identifying and leading improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies to optimize metal processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, improving quality, and increasing productivity across the facilities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional kaizen events and implement Lean tools (5S, VSM, TPM, SMED, etc.).
  • Analyze data to identify trends and root causes; recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to support problem-solving and standardize best practices.
  • Provide training and mentorship on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to staff at all levels.
  • Contribute to strategic projects related to automation, digitalization, and operational excellence.
  • Participate in capital project planning and ROI assessments related to process improvements.
  • Support safety and sustainability initiatives by promoting process reliability and operational discipline.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-related discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a metal fabrication manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and CI tools (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
  • Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools (Excel, Minitab, Power BI, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in driving change and fostering a continuous improvement culture.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Work Schedule:

  • On-site, Monday through Friday – Day Shift.
