Base pay range

CA$90,000.00/yr - CA$130,000.00/yr

Position Overview: Join our team as a Dynamic Automation and Process Innovator, where you'll play a pivotal role in revolutionizing manufacturing systems through cutting-edge automation strategies. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to assess, procure, and seamlessly integrate advanced automation equipment into production workflows.
  • Redesign traditional manufacturing processes into fully automated systems, fostering a culture of technological excellence.
  • Provide specialized knowledge in automation controls, process optimization, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Boost workplace safety through innovative equipment design and streamlined processes.
  • Propel continuous improvement programs focusing on OEE metrics, quality enhancement, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement smart manufacturing solutions, including visual management and strategic budgeting.
  • Collaborate on process innovation, capital investment planning, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Pioneer advanced engineering solutions to enhance process control and ensure superior product quality standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects, liaising with internal teams and external vendors to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Develop technical projects from concept to execution, managing designs, installations, budgets, and evaluations.
  • Monitor emerging automation technologies to identify opportunities for operational refinement and innovation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, minimizing disruptions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Mentor teams on Lean Manufacturing concepts and provide guidance on ABS methodology for process optimization.
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs to equip employees for success with automated systems.
  • Stay ahead of industry advancements in automation, robotics, and control technologies, driving continual improvement.
Key Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent educational background.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in automation systems, encompassing design, programming, and troubleshooting within industrial settings.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship (work authorization required).
  • Proficient in industrial control systems, including analytics, digital platforms, and programmable logic controllers.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and practical applications.
Preferred Skills:
  • Expertise in software platforms like Rockwell Automation and Siemens PLC/HMI systems.
  • Adept at integrating devices using protocols such as TCP/IP and serial communications.
  • Familiarity with innovative technologies like smart analytics and digital transformation tools.
