Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Urban area. Manufacturing or production. Management. Tasks: Develop production schedules and duty assignments to ensure proper functioning. Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages. Plan and organize daily operations. Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines. Direct quality control inspections. Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques. Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work. Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget. Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Perform financial calculations, such as costing and budgeting . Determine strategic planning related to new product lines. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations. Supervision: 5-10 people. Computer and technology knowledge: Lean Manufacturing. Industrial processes and products experience: Quality assurance and control. Area of specialization: Process improvement. Operations management.
