Job summary

Fike Canada is seeking an Operations & Logistics Support Technician for an onsite role in Ontario. You will join the manufacturing team to support production, logistics and other operations, focusing on developing essential skills in manufacturing operations, safety practices, and ISO 9001 compliance.

The position reports to the Manager, Operations, with a Monday–Friday schedule and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental and RRSP options.

Qualifications

• Required: Grade 12 education OSSD or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other software including Adobe and Google Docs.
• Preferred: Exposure to machining operations and blue prints.

Responsibilities

• Finish and package machined parts.
• Provide logistics and traffic support when required.
• Inspect, clean and package parts (clean room).
• Prepare and maintain required records of production activities and report inconsistencies or equipment issues.
• Use product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and SOPs to produce products.
• Move material using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists or other handling equipment.
• Back up saw operator when required.
• May do simple machine work.
• May do simple routine maintenance and keep the shop tidy.
• Adheres to safety practices and procedures.
• Follows procedures as defined by company policies and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Regular and consistent attendance is required.
