Job summary

Gestal in Mirabel, QC is seeking an experienced method agent to join the tooling team on the A220 program. Based in Mirabel, you will create manufacturing routings and commission single parts for production, evaluating requests and coordinating with internal trades to meet production needs.

You will analyze capabilities, estimate cycle times, and ensure proper production processes and treatments are applied. Fluency in French and English is an asset; weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in the industrial sector or a similar role.
• Experience in manufacturing and quality processes (aerospace an asset).
• Experience in cycle time estimation.
• Knowledge of production processes, bending and machining.

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for 1 aircraft single part method agent (RNC) to join our tooling team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the methods departments to meet their requirements.

As part of your position, you will be part of the tooling team and responsible for creating manufacturing routings and commissioning single parts necessary for production.

Your role as a method agent will be to evaluate incoming requests for the manufacturing of aircraft single parts following non-compliance, evaluate if internal capabilities are sufficient, issue manufacturing routings, and follow up with internal trades on material transformation operations

Your challenges:

• Analyze requests and verify if Airbus Canada has internal capability
• Support various trades to meet production planning
• Process review and planning assistance
• Assist the coordinator as needed
• Master communication with clients (internal and external)

Your profile:

• You hold a diploma of studies (CEGEP, Bachelor's) in engineering or mechanics
• Experience in creating manufacturing routings
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial sector or in a similar position, all combinations of relevant training and experience could be considered
• Experience in manufacturing and quality processes (aerospace an asset)
• Experience in cycle time estimation
• Knowledge of production processes, bending, machining
• Knowledge and experience of surface / thermal treatments
• Knowledge of SAP (Asset)
• Availability on weekends occasionally for operational requirements
• You are recognized for your reliability and autonomy in your work as well as your ability to work in a team
• You master French and English, an asset
