Overview

Job Title: Manufacturing General Labour

Location: Ajax, Ontario. Close by the major intersection of Finley / Clements

Shift/Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Pay Rate: $17.20/hr

Assignment Information

Our client in Ajax, Ontario is looking for help in their Production department. In this position, you will be working with machine operators, assisting them, using packing machines, and assisting other operators if needed. You will also be required to help with packing finished products and attaching labels, using different tools. The role could also involve cutting down insulation to size (jumpsuits are provided).

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Working with insulation (Masks, safety glasses, and jumpsuits provided)
  • Working on laminators and packing machines
  • Packing and taping goods
  • Using hand tools to cut material down to size
  • Stacking laminated product on a skid and wrapping
  • Moving the wrapped skid with the pump truck to a designated location
  • Keeping the working area clear of clutter
  • Moving materials with a pump truck
  • Doing quality checks on products and packaging
Requirements
  • Previous production work experience
  • CSA-approved steel-toed safety shoes/boots
  • English communication skills - verbal, reading
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination
Work Conditions

Manufacturing environment working around insulation and machinery. Jumpsuits and gloves will be provided on the job.
