Advanced Flow Systems Contract Manufacturing is looking for an experienced and energetic Engineering Technologist to join our team in Chilliwack, BC.

  • Our Drafter’s have a starting salary range of $50,000-$70,000 per annum based on experience and an assessment during the interview stage. Increases are then reviewed throughout employment.
  • The Engineering Technologist supports the Research & Development and Engineering Teams. The position prepares technical drawings and detailed layouts for each project. They will have the skillset to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and related design documents as well as be capable of working within a 3D/parametric drawing and design environment. Contract Manufacturing works with unique and interesting customers to design and create custom projects. The scope of the work is always evolving and changing. It's an exciting opportunity.

    Essential Functions For This Role Are

    1. Update Models & drawings with as-built information
    2. Undertake quality control processes related to existing Engineering data
    3. Make recommendations to improve team processes and information access needs
    4. Review designs submitted by other team members
    5. Provide clerical support such as maintaining spreadsheets, creating BOM’s and databases
    6. Potentially assisting with prototype build support
    7. Work closely with various departments including engineering, project management, supply chain and manufacturing
    8. Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records

    Experience, Qualifications, And Skills Required

    1. Completion of grade 12, supplemented by technical courses related to the work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
    2. Experience preparing Solid Works Models and drawings
    3. Experience in an Industrial Manufacturing Environment
    4. Intermediate experience with current generation Microsoft Office software
    5. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands on design and testing skills
    6. Able to read and interpret engineering plans and understand specifications
    7. Strong problem solving with accuracy in a technical environment
    8. Work efficiently in a team environment with little supervision
    9. Able to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines in a multi-task environment
    10. Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
