Job summary

Magna Cosma International in Canada is seeking a stamping engineering professional to lead projects from concept to launch. You will collaborate with multiple departments and customers to improve production processes, ensure quality, and drive continuous improvement.

You will implement PFMEA, GD&T and PPAP practices, use CAD tools, and mentor plant personnel in stamping technologies. This position requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • BSc. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering or a College Diploma in Industrial Manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with stamping press equipment and stamping automation.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with stamping process/press and die workings is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in APQP, CAD, GD&T, PPAP, PFMEA.
  • Ability to use CAD software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from inception to completion—timing, concept, feasibility, design, construction, try-out, launch, buy-off, budget, prototypes and changes.
  • Prepare reports, charts and documentation for engineering records and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with departments and customers to improve production processes and reduce downtime.
  • Participate in design reviews and process reviews; assist with buy-offs.
  • Coordinate with contracted engineers to meet PSHSR requirements.
