Job summary

Taiga Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering and Automation team at our LaSalle, Quebec facility. You will drive production efficiency, optimize build times, and lead tooling investments while serving as the technical leader on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering in a complex setting.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Full-time site-based role with automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering and Automation team with technical direction and project prioritization.
• Own the manufacturing engineering strategy to meet throughput and process capability.
• Oversee line design, workflow, equipment layout, and automation to support growth.
• Provide hands-on leadership to resolve critical production issues and line stoppages.
• Drive Lean continuous improvement using root cause analysis and value stream mapping.
• Own tooling strategy and capital equipment planning, with ongoing optimization.
• Prioritize resources and delegate projects to maximize impact.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering for new product introductions.
