Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Upfitting for our Nisku, AB. This position is responsible for working with other departments within the organization to improve efficiency and product quality by designing manufacturing processes, fixtures, workflows, and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Working closely with the Shop manager, vendor installation drawing, instructions, and shop floor to develop efficient upfitting flow to improve efficiencies and increase quality of products being built.
  2. Maximizing efficiency by analyzing layout of process equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
  3. Utilizing the appropriate tools and methodologies of lean manufacturing to inspire continuous improvement operating excellence.
  4. Managing projects from concept to completion.
  5. Creating and implementing meaningful metrics that can be used to benchmark performance and highlight future opportunities.
  6. Documenting process methods and developing standard operating procedures.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
