Job description

A strategic leader responsible for driving operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement. Oversees Manufacturing Engineering and Technical Services, supporting production, quality, and new product development from concept to launch. Aligns engineering initiatives with business goals, combining technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop engineering and technical services teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Drive efficiency and product quality through Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, DFMEA, and 5S.
  • Support seamless new product introductions and transitions to manufacturing.
  • Set departmental goals aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish engineering standards and resolve process and quality issues.
  • Conduct project planning, budgeting, and ROI analysis.
  • Mentor staff and promote a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through clear communication and project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Proven leadership in manufacturing engineering, preferably in medical devices.
  • Expertise in plastics processing (extrusion, molding, automation).
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and regulatory standards.
  • Skilled in FMEA, validation, and variability reduction.
  • Strong mechanical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
