Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Canada is seeking a Process Engineer to ensure the manufacturing process is effectively developed before product launch. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of manufacturing experience, particularly with injection molding. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and creating work instructions, with opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time position located on-site in Vaughan, offering a salary range of CA$80,000 to CA$100,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a facility with injection moulding processes.
• At least 2 years as a Process Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer.
• Familiarity with FMEA, APQP, and DOE.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise to ensure correct manufacturing processes.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting on equipment.
• Create standardized work instructions and train personnel.
• Complete APQP-related activities including PFMEA and Control Plans.

Shift Schedule

Days. But can be asked to come in on an off shift or work overtime, if the business dictates it to be necessary

Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise to ensure that the manufacturing process is correctly created prior to product launch
• Perform hands‑on troubleshooting on equipment and use the 5Y and 8D processes to ensure that the issue doesn’t repeat itself
• Create standardized work instructions and train production personnel on new processes
• Complete APQP‑related activities and develop PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts, and operator instructions

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a facility that has injection moulding processes
• At least 2 years of work experience as a Process Engineer or as a Manufacturing Engineer
• A degree or diploma in mechanical or industrial engineering
• Familiarity with FMEA, APQP, and DOE
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives; preference for someone who has Six Sigma or Red X Certification
