dcbel is at the forefront of the residential energy revolution, enabling decentralized energy consumption and production through its integrated suite of energy hardware and software products, along with supporting infrastructure. Our flagship product, the dcbel Home Energy Station, is a wall-mounted device that empowers users to own their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EVs and homes, unlocking EV battery backup (V2H), and optimizing energy flow between solar panels, EVs, backup batteries, and the grid.

The opportunity

We are looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for the industrialization, optimization, and continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual contributor with at least 5 years of manufacturing experience, thriving in a dynamic environment and actively involved in driving results.

Main responsibilities

  1. Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) ramp-up and training at contract manufacturer sites, maintaining issue logs and tracking resolutions.
  2. Populate ERP, MRP, and PLM systems with accurate production data.
  3. Own part quality, process optimization, and supplier industrialization throughout the product lifecycle.
  4. Monitor production throughput and quality metrics; recommend and implement corrective actions.
  5. Develop, map, and optimize manufacturing process flows and takt times.
  6. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure alignment with dcbel’s quality and manufacturing standards.
  7. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including work instructions and SOPs.
  8. Ensure robust error-proofing (poka-yoke) in manufacturing processes.
  9. Lead and resolve NCRs and SCARs efficiently to prevent recurring issues.
  10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction, waste elimination, lead-time reduction, and quality enhancement.
  11. Participate in design reviews with dcbel Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and develop effective DFM strategies with suppliers.

Key requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or relevant experience.
  2. 5+ years experience with electromechanical products; quality management experience is a plus.
  3. Familiarity with SPC and data analysis.
  4. Willingness to travel 30–40%, sometimes on short notice.
