Job summary

Modern Technical Staffing Inc. is assisting a client in Guelph, Ontario to find a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong CNC machining background for low-volume, high-mix production. The candidate should have 3+ years as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

You will lead new product launches, maintain BOMs and routings, manage ECNs, and interpret GD&T. SolidWorks experience is required, and you must be eligible to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience in a low-volume, high-mix CNC machining environment.
• Experience reading GD&T drawings and BOMs; creating ECNs.
• SolidWorks experience and 3D CAD ability.

Responsibilities

• Involved with new launches for CNC machined products, including creating ECNs.
• Manage and maintain manufacturing data, including BOMs, routings, item masters, and process documentation.
• Lead engineering change management by interpreting customer drawings, GD&T, and specifications while ensuring revision control and cross-functional communication.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans, control plans, work instructions, and first article documentation.
• Design and implement tooling and fixturing solutions using SolidWorks; evaluate equipment and process investments via cost-benefit analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction, while providing technical support across production, quality, customers, and suppliers.

Our client in Guelph is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. They are seeking someone who has been employed as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer with a low volume, high mix, CNC Machining manufacturing company.

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Vacancy Status: This is an active vacancy

Compensation: $90,000 – $105,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Involved with new launches for CNC Machined products. This would include creating ECN’s.
• Manage and maintain manufacturing data, including BOMs, routings, item masters, and process documentation to support production accuracy.
• Lead engineering change management by interpreting customer drawings, GD&T, and specifications while ensuring effective revision control and cross-functional communication.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans, control plans, work instructions, and first article documentation to support manufacturing excellence.
• Design and implement tooling and fixturing solutions using SolidWorks, while evaluating equipment and process investments through cost-benefit analysis.
