Job summary

ABL Direct in Canada is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead NPI and process development for high‑reliability antenna and RF products. You will drive lean initiatives, validate processes, and collaborate with Product Engineering to optimize cost and manufacturability.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 5+ years' experience in manufacturing engineering, with hands-on CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and ERP experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Proven success leading NPI and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, RCA, DFM/ DFA principles.
  • Experience with ERP, BOMs, routings, ECO processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, improve, and validate manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
  • Lead new product introductions from design and pilot builds through full production launch.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process controls, and production standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to optimize manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support, lead cross-functional projects, and support audits, ECOs, quotations, and customer inquiries.

Brief Responsibilities Outline:

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or related field) with 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Proven success leading New Product Introduction (NPI), process development, and cross-functional technical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, process validation, and DFM/DFA principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems, BOMs, routings, ECO processes, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing tooling or fixture design.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
