This is a hands-on Continuous Improvement role focused on implementation and measurable results, not simply maintaining Lean dashboards or facilitating improvement meetings.
You will own improvement projects from problem identification through analysis, business case development, implementation and sustained results.
Working directly with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance, you will identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance, build the case for change and help implement solutions on the plant floor.
The operation supports increasingly sophisticated automotive lighting and electronic manufacturing, creating opportunities to improve both established processes and newer advanced-manufacturing technologies.
Post-secondary education in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Operations Management, Engineering Technology or a related discipline is preferred.
Equivalent manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience will also be considered.
You see a manufacturing problem and want to understand why it is happening, what the data is showing and how to improve it permanently.
You are comfortable challenging established processes, building a case for change and working across departments to turn recommendations into implemented solutions.
Most importantly, you want to be able to look back at a production line and see measurable improvement because of a project you took from problem to execution.
Our client is an established automotive manufacturing organization in Belleville with a long history in automotive lighting and an increasing focus on electronics, advanced lighting and next-generation vehicle technologies.
The company name and additional details about the operation will be shared during the initial conversation with qualified candidates.
